Pinterest: A passing fad or here to stay? I don't care!

So my hair dresser was washing my hair the other day and I was asking her about her cute up-do. "Pinterest!" she said, all excited! I had absolutely no idea what the heck she was talking about....only later to go home and log on...to...the. best. website. ever. A one-minute-wonder? Or here to stay? I don't care! I love it.....www.pinterest.com. I created a profile and quickly became mesmerized by all of the beautiful things that I must have or must make.

My husband was skeptical. "I don't get it," he told me. "It's a waste of time."

Oh contrare, my love.

I can't sleep. The DIY crafts, party ideas, yummy recipes are flying through my head like a growing cancer.

I'm on project number two. I packed the husband and kids into the car today, heading for Home Depot to collect my supplies. And yes, it was an early Sunday afternoon (middle of 3 fantasy football games mind you). My husband tried oh-so hard to pretend he wanted to be there (all the while his iphone speakers are broadcasting the football games throughout the aisles of Home Depot), the baby's diaper has exploded and my two-year-old is hysterically insisting that he gets to push the cart "like a big boy today!"

Needless to say, Pinterest has a special place in my heart...and I think it's here to stay (for a while).

Here is a festive project I just completed to get my family in the mood for the upcoming spooky holiday...

I am not and don't claim to ever have been a crafty person. And these are not nearly as beautiful as the original creator: http://seeinginkspots.blogspot.com/2010/09/its-nice-day-for-white-pumpkin.html, but all the while it was fun, my kids love them and now I'm off to my next DIY craft for the fleeting moment!...

Oh yeah, gotta give credit to my little helper guys...

Hello, from "that" Mom at the grocery store...

I've come to the realization lately that between 7am and 7pm, life is pretty chaotic. It's a sweet "dance" as you may, that swings between complete chaos to quiet precious moments...that quickly returns to a chaotic storm once again. I just joined a weekly womens' book study called "The Power of a Positive Mom"...let's just say, I'm trying really hard to enjoy every little second I'm given with my precious baby boys (with as much patience and positivity as possible)....

It's a crazy life! But I wouldn't change it for the world!

Being a stay at home mom has it's challenges, but I take pride in knowing I am the one who gets to witness the boy's firsts and all of their crazy memories between each other. I thought these photos (and yes, I was taking pictures of the boys in the grocery store aisles) pretty much summed up my life right now. Hope you enjoy...
